Originally from Westchester, NY, Jessica is a graduate from Emerson College with a degree concentrated in cinematography and photography. This past spring, Jessica spent her time working for Mythical Entertainment; home of the popular YouTube variety show, "Good Mythical Morning", with Rhett and Link in Burbank, CA. As part of her responsibilities there, she pitched and camera operated short form social content with celebrity guests to help drive audiences on Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat back to the main website and YouTube channel. Between video segments, Jessica helped build, light, and wrap each set while assisting with the organization of gear. She also gained the opportunity to assist with the setup of Rhett and Link's podcast, "Earbiscuits" biweekly. Some of the most viewed content she has camera operated, edited, and made gifs of has gained over three million watches and thousands of shares.
In the past, Jessica has won an award for Best Music Video at the Hendrick Hudson Film Festival, and has worked with the 501 c3 Non-Profit Film Organization, Peers Influence Peers Partnership, whose work spread awareness about drug and alcohol abuse on local cable access channels across the country. In the summer of 2014, Jessica had the pleasure of interning for the award-winning film, No Letting Go, which has screened at festivals across the globe and is now available on Video-on-Demand. Most recently, a film she shot, "Dog Days", was nominated for "Best Cinematic Achievement" at the Evvy awards in Boston, MA.
Over the past four years, Jessica has spent her time on set working as a cinematographer, set stills photographer, assistant camera, gaffer, key grip, film loader and camera operator. In addition, she worked at the Paramount Soundstage in Boston, Massachusetts as a Technical Support Specialist, interned for the film rental supply store, Rule Boston Camera, and had the pleasure of working on NBC's original drama, "Blindspot", as a production assistant during the summer of 2017. In her spare time, she also enjoyed working as a Soccer Coach and Cross Country Coach for children ages three through twelve for three years at Hill House Boston before graduating from Emerson College.
Jessica currently works as a lead wedding photographer and videographer for the Boston based company, BKB&CO, assistant teaches production and cinematography classes at Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville, New York, freelances as a set stills photographer and camera assistant, and camera operates for NYU-TV as well as The Connection Movement. When she's not behind a camera, she can be found co-facilitating for the global movement, Secret Sunrise, which aims to spread joy and unite the world through dance and conscious collaboration. Jessica hopes to continue to pursue her passions while also contributing to the community and making small, positive changes every day!
Jessica especially enjoys spending her time photographing with 35mm and medium-format film, shooting on the Arri SR, and editing in the darkroom whenever possible. When she's not filming, Jessica enjoys dancing, taste-testing teas, and running on trails with her friends.
